Important Update from the HydraArk Team
Dear friends,
After the distribution of food for April, our winter feed program has finished for the season. We have a number of sick cats that are hospitalized, and we are hopeful that they will soon be in good health again and able to return to the island.
We would like to inform you that, due to increasing professional and family commitments, our volunteers are no longer able to maintain the same level of activity as in previous years. For this reason, our operations will gradually be limited in the coming period.
As part of the changes to our association’s status, there are also legal implications regarding how we can receive donations. For the foreseeable future, we are unable to accept donations through our bank or PayPal accounts while we reorganize in order to comply with legal requirements and make the workload more manageable for our volunteers. We are currently working on reorganizing our structure and will share updates once this process is complete.
We can still accept donations in food and anti parasites at local pet shops, which we will distribute to the various cat colonies.
At present, the management and care of stray animals in the area is continuing to supported by the Municipality of Hydra and another animal welfare organization, Small Animal Rescue (SAR).
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has supported our efforts over the years. Your kindness has helped many animals, and our love for them remains unchanged.
Thank you again for your understanding and for the support you have shown to Hydra’s animals over the years.
More news soon.
