✨ Orion. A Story of Care, Cooperation, and a Happy Ending ✨

A tiny, bedridden kitten from Hydra had to be transferred to Athens for urgent veterinary care. At the time, there was no veterinarian available on the island, and the kitten had already lost its right eye, suffering from pain and infection. The transfer was the only way to give this little soul the chance it deserved.

At the clinic, the first priority was to strengthen its fragile body — helping it gain weight, build stamina, and become strong enough to safely undergo surgery. With proper medical care, close monitoring, and good nutrition, the kitten reached the necessary weight and successfully underwent eye removal surgery, responding remarkably well.

Following its recovery, the kitten was welcomed into a foster home. Thanks to the kindness, support, and cooperation of many people who helped in different ways, this little fighter found its forever home just two months later. 🏡💕

Today, the kitten is safe, playful, pain-free, and growing stronger every day — continuing its life without fear, surrounded by love. 🐾❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing veterinarian, Irini, a true angel in every sense. Irini personally transferred Orion from Hydra to her clinic in Athens, where she cared for him with endless dedication — medicating him, treating him, loving him, and keeping us constantly informed with detailed reports on his progress.

Beyond medical care, Irini also helped secure a foster home for Orion and generously covered his food and litter expenses during his recovery. Despite all the time, effort, and compassion she gave, she charged only 248€ for Orion’s treatment and his stay at the clinic.

We would also like to sincerely thank the foster home, who opened their hearts and home to Orion, giving him the safety, comfort, and love he needed to heal and thrive. 🏡❤️

And of course Giada who found him and brought him to us.
